Fátima’s sanctuary is the biggest and most famous portuguese sanctuary, with millions of visitors every year. To celebrate the 100 anniversary of virgin Mary apparitions on that place, my editors asked me if I could do an interactive infographic with data about that place.

Since there was not many data, I’ve asked their press office if they had any numbers, that turned out to be some scanned documents that I had to turn into a .csv file.

I was exploring d3.force() at the time, so I ended up developing what became one of my first interactive infographics published in national news.
